Marsing man was in process of selling plane that crashed

One of the two men charged with drug smuggling in Oregon after crashing a plane in residential neighborhood had apparently defaulted on an attempt to buy the plane from a Marsing resident.
Lamon Loucks thought the plane was tied down at the Caldwell Industrial Airport until he heard about the crash during the weekend. Apparently, he had regained possession of the aircraft after the prospective buyer had failed to come through with final payment on the purchase.
But that buyer, 38-year-old Matthew William Thompson, was one of two Boise men booked into an Oregon county jail on felony charges after the plane crash.
Find out how Loucks learned that his plane was no longer in Idaho in this week's edition of The Owyhee Avalanche.
