Three in custody in county kidnapping case

Two additional suspects have been arrested in the alleged kidnapping of a 36-year-old woman.
The sheriff's office announced Monday afternoon that Mikal James Christensen, 24, and Chancey Lee Baker, 36, had been taken into custody on several felonies, including second-degree kidnapping and burglary.
Both were jailed in Murphy on $500,000 bonds.
Earlier, 41-year-old Tressa Marie Sipes of Homedale was arrested after a search warrant was served on a property in the area of Lootens Lane east of U.S. Highway 95 between Homedale and Marsing.
According to the state's online court repository, Sipes has been charged with aiding and abetting kidnapping and burglary.
The Owyhee County Sheriff’s Office began an investigation after responding to the area for a report of a possible kidnapping, according to an OCSO press release issued Monday morning.
The victim reporting the incident, a 36-year-old female, had minor injuries. No other details about the victim or the circumstances of the alleged crime have been released.
Deputies arrested Sipes after executing a search warrant. She has been charged with aiding and abetting a kidnapping and is currently lodged in the Owyhee County Jail in Murphy.
  The investigation is ongoing.
